Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Epitrite ("we," "us," or "the Service"). By creating an account or using Epitrite, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What Epitrite Is

Epitrite is a web-based lyric video editor. You can upload audio, video, and image files, create lyric video projects, and render and export them for any platform.

2. Your Account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Epitrite.
  • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • One person per account. Don't share accounts.
  • We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Your Content and Music Rights

We never claim rights to your music.You own everything you upload and create on Epitrite. Your songs, your lyrics, your videos. We don't claim ownership of your audio, video, images, lyrics, or rendered projects. Everything you create on Epitrite belongs to you. Always. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and render it as needed to provide the Service. This license ends when you delete your content or your account.

You agree not to upload content that:

  • You don't have the rights to use (including copyrighted music you don't own or license)
  • Is illegal, harmful, or violates anyone else's rights
  • Contains malware or malicious code
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation

You're solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and licenses for any music, lyrics, images, or video clips you use in your projects.

Assets provided by Epitrite are cleared for commercial use. All visual assets, templates, transitions, backgrounds, and stock footage made available through Epitrite are licensed for unlimited commercial use, including monetized YouTube channels, Spotify Canvas, paid streaming, and paid advertising. You do not need to clear additional rights to use Epitrite-provided assets in your rendered videos.

4. Paid Plans and Billing

Epitrite offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed through Stripe.

  • Prices are listed on our pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel
  • You can cancel anytime from your billing settings; access continues until the end of your billing period
  • Refunds: We offer a full refund within 7 days of initial purchase. After that window, subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Contact support@epitrite.com to request a refund.
  • We don't store your payment card details; Stripe handles all payment processing

5. Acceptable Use

Don't use Epitrite to:

  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service
  • Overload our systems (automated bulk requests, bots, etc.)
  • Circumvent usage limits or billing restrictions
  • Use the Service for anything illegal

6. Service Availability

We aim to keep Epitrite running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Epitrite and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

  • You can delete your account at any time
  • We can suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days (except as required by law or to resolve disputes)

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or a notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.

11. Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You waive the right to participate in any class action, collective action, or representative proceeding against Epitrite. Small claims court actions and claims for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property rights are excluded from this arbitration requirement. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@epitrite.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.
